After a whirlwind two-week round-robin tournament, the Hawthorn AFL Blind and Wheelchair Football teams are preparing to play finals this weekend.
Despite some tough competition, both teams have performed admirably, with a number of impressive wins in the bag.
AFL Blind
The AFL Blind competition will take place on Saturday 12th December at Action Indoor Sports Tullamarine. Hawthorn is the current reigning premier, having defeated the Bulldogs in a stunning grand final in late 2019. However, the team has its work cut out this year and will be hoping for a perfect finals campaign to win from third position. The Hawks will face the Western Bulldogs in the semi final at 10.35am, with the winner progressing to the big dance where they'll take on the victor of Essendon and St Kilda at 11.30am.
While fans are not permitted to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions, the matches will be available to watch via live stream at https://www.facebook.com/AFLInclusion.

The Victorian Wheelchair Football League finals will be decided this Sunday at MSAC, with the Hawks narrowly scraping into finals in fourth position after a late-competition win over Collingwood.
The team will take on St Kilda at 10am for a spot in the grand final against the winner of Essendon and Richmond.
As with AFL Blind, fans are unable to attend but can watch the live stream at https://www.facebook.com/VicWheelchairFL.
Jaylen Brown, this year's number one draft pick, has been a shining star for the Hawks' wheelchair team and is certainly one to watch this finals series.
The 16-year-old is currently leading the league's goal kicking tally with 37 majors across the eight games - six more than his closest opponent - an incredible achievement for the youngster.
Good luck to all the incredible athletes who are represented their clubs this weekend!
