Changes are afoot at Hawthorn.
Just two days out from the Hawks' opening game of the 2021 season, Tom Phillips has made a shift, moving from number 16 to number 21.
The former Magpie pounced on the opportunity to move into his new numerical residence, the same number he wore across 89 games in the black and white.
The number became available after Tom Scully announced his retirement early last month.
Who's in line for a season opener debut?
Fellow new Hawk Lachlan Bramble will take the vacated number 16 in his first season in the brown and gold.
Bramble joined the Hawks through the the pre-season supplementary selection period (SSP) at the start of the month.
