VFLW Coach Bec Goddard has cast her eye over the players that ran out against Collingwood on the weekend to decide who her best players were.
Hear from the coach and her justifications for the five players picked below.
Phillips: I feel a lot of power and responsibility in my role
Chloe O'Malley
"Chloe O'Malley was best on ground for me on the weekend. Her ability to surge the ball forward and find a kick was really impressive."
Maddi Shaw
"Also among my best was Maddi Shaw. It was her first full game playing in defence. She was really reliable and took some great marks. Her kick-ins were really what we would expect to see, and she hadn't been practicing that, so it was good to see how she fell into that role."
Olivia Flanagan
"Livvy Flanagan took some really good grabs on the weekend in some terrible conditions and she contributed to the forward line strongly."
Nicole Cormack
"Nicki was another one in the best on the weekend. She had a lot of contested possessions and she really stood up against some big bodies.
Emily Gilder
"We took her out of defence when we had a few injuries hit. She played on the wing and then went into the forward line to follow Collingwood's spare and she really represented herself well."
