Hawthorn Coach Alastair Clarkson says he won't take any risks with star pair Chad Wingard and Jaeger O'Meara ahead of this week's clash with West Coast.
Wingard and O'Meara both missed the Hawks Round 7 loss to St Kilda.
Clarkson said he was hopeful of regaining the talented duo, but added that he wasn't willing to take any risks in rushing them back into the side.
"We're hoping to get them both back," Clarkson said.
"We will see how they go with training and go from there.
"They've both had sore spots that they'd normally be able to carry in games, but, in particular Jaeger with his around the hip and groin area, we just don't want to take any risks.
"Chad just had DOMS after the six-day break and we just didn't want to take a punt with that either."
