Changkuoth Jiath has received the nod from fans as Hawthorn’s Round 17 MVP following the side's loss to Fremantle.
Despite registering just 58 per cent game-time against the Dockers, Jiath's body of work within that limited time was evidently influential enough for the brown and gold faithful to still consider him the side's best.
The defender's seven intercept possessions ranked second across the Hawks team while his seven marks were also good for the number two spot on the Hawks stat sheet.
A check-in with our list of little wins
It continues what has been a break-out season for the 22-year-old who has shone in a rebounding defender role this year.
He ranks 13th in the league for intercept possessions, 14th for intercept marks and 32nd for marks.
With Jiath departing the field just prior to three-quarter time due to a knee injury, Hawthorn supporters will be nervously awaiting the results of his scans to ascertain how long his stint on the sidelines will be.
