With a month left of the 2021 home and away season, we have had a look back at who leads the Hawks to date in some of the key statistical categories.

Here are the Hawks who are racking up the numbers so far for this season, and how they compare to other stars in the league.

Disposals

Unsurprisingly, renowned ball magnet Tom Mitchell is leading the club - and league - for disposals in 2021.

Having played every game so far this season, the former Brownlow Medalist is averaging just shy of 35 touches.

His season-best performance came in Round 10 against Carlton where he racked up 44 disposals – 10 shy of his career-best of 54.

Mitchell has tallied more than 35 disposals on 10 occasions so far this season, including three times of 40 or above.

Hit outs

Captain Ben McEvoy is leading his side in this area with 312 hit outs - at an average of 16.4 per game - followed by Jonathon Ceglar (170, 18.9) and Ned Reeves (100, 25).

McEvoy recorded his season-high hit outs in Round 9 (26), before replicating the performance with the same figure in Round 14.

He sits 12th in the league for total hit outs, just missing a spot in the top 10 behind St Kilda's Paddy Ryder (362) and Sydney's Tom Hickey (375).

Tackles

Prolific in winning the ball, Mitchell has also been the club's most prominent tackler, leading the way with 87 for the year - an average of 4.8 per game - followed closely by Liam Shiels (86) and Jaeger O'Meara (76).

Meanwhile, Dylan Moore has recorded the second-highest inside 50 tackles in the league with 28, just falling behind Melbourne’s Kysaiah Pickett (30).

Luke Breust is also currently in fifth place (27) in the league for stats in this area.

Marks

Jack Scrimshaw has tallied the equal highest number of marks this season with 93 for his side - an average of 5.8 per game - and narrowly ahead of Changkuoth Jiath, who is currently on the sidelines due to injury.

Aside from his ruckwork, McEvoy is also charging the way for contested marks with a team-high total of 28 - an average of 1.4 per game.

Goals

Breust's 30 goals for the season - an average of 1.7 goals a game - sees him as a frontrunner for most majors kicked in the brown and gold this year.

The club's leading goal kicker for 2018 and 2019 looks to reclaim his title in 2021, but youngsters Moore and Jacob Koschitzke are in contention for the top accolade with 23 and 22 goals respectively.

There are five Hawks players averaging one or more goals this season, with the biggest haul of majors this season coming from Koschitzke in Round 6 against Adelaide with five goals.
