Jaeger O'Meara has received the nod from fans as Hawthorn’s Round 20 MVP following the side's win against Brisbane.
O'Meara had a day out on Sunday against the Lions racking up a team-high 35 disposals, 10 tackles and nine inside 50s, along with the first goal of the game.
The 27-year-old also registered six clearances, 14 contested possessions and 461 metres gained in what was arguably his season-best performance.
Clarko: "Pulling on the brown and gold really meant something today"
It continues what has been another strong season for the vice-captain who has averaged 25.6 disposals a game, which is above his career average of 23.2 and the second-best at the Hawks in 2021.
As one of the club’s premier players, O’Meara has continued to prove a key component in the Hawthorn midfield, following an interrupted 2020 after battling a broken hand.
He ranks at the top for the Hawks in both contested possessions, averaging 12 a game, and centre clearances with 2.6 on this season.
