Calsher Dear joined Hawthorn after being selected with Pick 56 in the 2023 national draft. Dear is the son of late Hawthorn premiership player and 1991 Norm Smith medallist Paul. The 19-year-old had a debut season to remember, suiting up for 17 games and kicking 25 majors.
