Fleming continued to build on her postive start to life in the brown and gold, backing up her debut season with another solid campaign in 2023. The 19-year-old was nominated for the AFLW’s Rising Star award and finished third in Hawthorn’s best and fairest for the second time in as many seasons. As a junior, she won a premiership with the Oakleigh Chargers, made the NAB League Girls Team of the Year and AFLW under 18 All Australian team whilst representing Vic Metro. Fleming has also represented Vic Metro in cricket, following in the footsteps of her father and former Australian paceman Damien. She also dabbled in netball, taking after her mother and former elite netballer Wendy O’Donnell.
