Stone was recruited to the Hawks through the AFLW Expansion Pre-Signing Period after an extremely impressive junior career with the Eastern Ranges. In 2023 alone, Stone was named captain of the Coates Talent League Girls Team of the Year and made the U18 All Australian team, named at half-back in both teams. The 18-year-old is also a talented midfielder, having averaged 20.5 disposals and 6.2 tackles for the Ranges in 2023.
