Everist is a relative newcomer to the sport, having played soccer for most of her junior career. She was drafted to Hawthorn off the back of representing Vic Country and having a solid 2022 NAB League Girls campaign for Bendigo. A big feature of Everist’s game is her endurance, ranking fourth in the AFLW combine time trial before placing in the top five of Hawthorn’s time trial in back-to-back years. She suited up for four games in her debut AFLW season before playing another nine in 2023. Traditionally a defender, Everist thrived with some time on the wing last season.
