Craig McRae will depart Hawthorn after accepting the senior coaching role at Collingwood.
Coming to the club with a strong coaching resume, McRae joined the Hawks ahead of the 2021 season and took on the position as the club’s forwards coach.
Overseeing the growth of a young forward line, McRae made a strong impact in his short time at the club.
In farewelling McRae, Head of Football Rob McCartney thanked him for his contribution to the club.
“In his short time at Hawthorn, Craig has shown a fantastic ability to build strong relationships right across our football club,” McCartney said.
“Our players, in particular our forwards, have benefited immensely from his knowledge, experience and mentorship.
“As a club, we have always looked to develop our people for their next opportunity and with this in mind we are excited for Craig as he embarks on his senior coaching career at Collingwood.”
