Season summary:
Following on from his debut season in the brown and gold last year, Sam Frost further proved himself as a solid addition to the Hawks' back six in 2021.
With the height, speed and agility to play on a variety of forwards, Frost led the Hawks for intercept marks, and intercept possessions (also the 10th best league-wide) and ranked third for rebound 50s.
Frost averaged a career best 15.1 disposals per game in 2021, up from his previous best of 12.7 touches per game.
He also ranked ‘elite’ for handballs, averaging 6.3 per game, with his aggression and pace becoming an asset to the Hawks’ offensive movement, providing an exciting dash out of the defensive 50.
The 28-year-old joined the Hawks from Melbourne following the 2019 trade period and has since produced two consistent seasons.
Best AFL game:
Frost was a stand-out performer in the Hawks eight-point win against Brisbane in Round 20, finishing with a season-best 20 disposals, seven marks and 452 metres gained.
