Season summary:
While Seamus Mitchell, who was taken as pick 29 in the 2020 AFL National Draft, has yet to be capped at AFL level, he continued to show impressive glimpses in the VFL with Box Hill during 2021.
A talented goal kicker with impressive football IQ, Mitchell looms as an exciting prospect despite being integrated slowly into the Hawks program due to significant knee and ankle injuries shortly before the draft.
Still learning the physicality and work-rate required at the elite level, Mitchell has produced some exciting play with his speed and tackling pressure proving particularly impressive.
The 19-year-old will be eyeing another big pre-season to get his fitness levels up as he looks to make an impact in the senior side in 2022.
