The final pieces of Changkuoth Jiath's return from injury look to be falling into place after the running defender made a successful comeback via a Box Hill practice match on Friday night.
Jiath performed strongly for the club's VFL affiliate side in its hit-out against Frankston as the 22-year-old looks to put his hand up for Hawthorn's season opener against North Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.
Meanwhile, having both sat out out of the side’s latest outing with Richmond in Devonport, midfielder pair Jaeger O’Meara and Tom Mitchell also appear on the cusp of their respective returns.
