Hawthorn has facilitated a trade that will see the club receive Pick 33 in the  AFLW Season Eight Supplementary Draft while sending defender Eliza Shannon and Pick 40 to North Melbourne.

Shannon, 23, played six matches for the Hawks in Season Seven and averaged 6.8 disposals.

AFLW List Manager Mitchell Cashion thanked Shannon for her efforts.

“Eliza was a much-loved member of our team,” Cashion said.

“We thank her for her service at the Hawks and wish her well at her new club.”

The AFLW Sign and Trade Period continues until Monday 20 March.
