Box Hill VFLW stalwart Kristy Stratton has become an AFLW Hawk after being selected at Pick 18 in Tuesday's AFLW Season Eight supplementary draft.

The 165cm midfielder/ forward is coming off a stellar VFLW season, winning the club's goalkicking and finishing second in its best and fairest count.

The 28-year-old also previously played for Collingwood from 2018-2021.

Who are you most excited to play with at the Hawks?

Definitely Richo (Jenna Richardson). We've played VFLW together and she's one of my closest friends so I'm excited to be back with her.

Which AFL/ AFLW player would you compare yourself to?

I would definitely say Taylor Adams. He's an in-and-under player who loves the contest. 

Who is your biggest role model?

Would have to be my parents and my siblings. They have made me into the person I am today and I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for them.

What do you do outside of footy?

I love to relax, chill out and take my dog for a walk. I'm a bit of a gamer as well so I do love playing games in my spare time.

Who was your favourite footy player growing up?

Nathan Buckley.

What's your favourite TV show/ movie?

I'm a big fan of Stranger Things.

Who's your favourite artist/ band?

Harry Styles. 

Do you have a hidden talent?

I wish I could say I do but I don't! 

Any relation to Ben Stratton?

Nope! But my sister is Brooke Stratton who's an Olympic long jumper!
