The Box Hill Hawks’ match committee has made five change to the side which was victorious on the MCG, headlined by the potential inclusion of Co-Captain Hugh Beasley for what would be his first run of 2023.

Former Northern Knight and Carlton VFL ball-winner Joel Trudgeon has also been named and is in line for a Box Hill debut.

Finn Maginness is the final listed change, with Cam MacKenzie named in the below squad despite having been designated as Hawthorn’s tactical sub.

As for the outs, Hawthorn has named Seamus Mitchell to make his AFL debut on the back of a pair of strong showings for Box Hill to start the season, while Denver Grainger-Barrass and Ned Long have both been named on the Hawks’ bench for Sunday’s match against GWS.

Sadly, Henry Hustwaite will sit the weekend out owing to a head clash against Geelong, while Stu Horner is the unlucky Box Hill man omitted for now.

Box Hill will confirm the final composition of the match-day 23 prior to Sunday’s first bounce.
