Defender Changkuoth Jiath is set to be available for selection ahead of this weekend after recovering from a calf injury.

Jiath's last game was in Round 9 against Melbourne before he was struck down with the complaint.

High Performance Manager Peter Burge said the 24-year-old would be available to return to play.

"It's been a little bit of a longer drawn out process than what we first anticipated," Burge said.

"Initially we felt like we were dealing with a typical calf strain, but it took a long time for us to get through that first week or two and get him on legs and running again. It then become apparent we'd need longer, and longer.

"As that became the case, the reconditioning phase needed more time as well. The longer you're away from actually having played a game, you then need more time to recondition to be able to play that next game and we're at that point now.

"He had a week of full training last week and another big session on the weekend again. He'll have another full week of training this week so we've got a large body of work now."

First-year Hawk Jack O'Sullivan will also be available for selection following a minor groin issue.

"We took the opportunity with the bye to take the extra week with him," Burge said.

"But he had a good end to last week, and a really good session on the weekend and will fully train this week and be available to play for the weekend."

Meanwhile, Emerson Jeka will be out of action for another week after also dealing with a calf complaint.
