Debutant Brandon Ryan headlines a quartet of inclusions into Hawthorn's side set to host St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
Selected in the mid-season draft just two months ago, Ryan has since impressed for Box Hill, with his aerial strength and forward craft providing multiple scoring opportunities each week.
Lloyd Meek, Lachlan Bramble and Cam Mackenzie round out the remaining ins, while Ned Reeves (suspended), Karl Amon (injured), Denver Grainger-Barras (omitted), Jack Scrimshaw (omitted) are the confirmed outs for this week.
Scrimshaw, Ned Long, Fergus Greene and James Blanck feature among the four emergencies, with the substitute to be confirmed one hour before the first bounce.
General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said it was exciting to welcome a newcomer among some familiar faces back into the side.
“After never giving up on his dream to play at the top-level, we're thrilled that Brandon gets his opportunity to pull on the brown and gold jumper for the first time," McCartney said.
"It's also great to see Cam return to the starting line-up following his strong form with Box Hill over recent weeks.
"He continues to develop and we are excited to see him add to his 12 AFL games this year.
"Both Lachy and Lloyd return to the AFL arena this week with important roles to play. Meeky replaces Ned Reeves who misses with suspension and Brambs' run and carry will be important with Karl Amon being unavailable due to injury.”
This Sunday marks the club's annual Blue Ribbon Cup game, one of the AFL’s longest standing traditions, honouring the courage and sacrifice of all Victorian police officers and those that have fallen in the line of duty.
