Conor Nash and Connor Macdonald will have to prove their fitness in the lead-up to Hawthorn's Easter Monday blockbuster against Geelong.

Nash was subbed out of the Hawks' 30-point loss to Port Adelaide with a wrist issue while Macdonald continues to build his fitness up following an ankle injury sustained in Round 2.

Elsewhere, Calsher Dear is progressing well in his recovery from a stress fracture in his back while Will Day has undergone surgery on his injured foot.

James Worpel limped off at the end of Sunday night's match but there is no concern with his health.

In good news, James Blanck and Sam Butler successfully returned to play via Hawthorn's VFL scratch match against Essendon last week.

High Performance Manager Peter Burge provided an update on each player on the Round 6 Injury List below.

Conor Nash (wrist) - test

"Conor was subbed out of the game on Sunday with a wrist issue. He'll train this week and be a test for Easter Monday."

Connor Macdonald (ankle) - test

"Connor trained at the end of last week and trained over the weekend. He'll have a full week of training leading into the next game. We've got our main session on Saturday and that'll hopefully be the final tick-off that he's available to play."

Calsher Dear (back) - 1 week

"He's one week away. We're aiming for Round 7 of the AFL. He's in full training this week and full training next week and then we'll plan to progress through to VFL with managed minutes, given it's a long-term injury. But right now, it's full training this week."

Mitch Lewis (knee) - 7-9 weeks

"Mitch is doing modified training at the moment. We're still looking at that timeframe of a Round 13 return to play through the VFL. He's progressing really well."

Will Day (foot) - 3-4 months

"He's had surgery, which was successful. Now, we'll start his rehab process which is going to be lengthy but we've got some confidence now that this will help him return to the field. We're hopeful that he will return back to playing towards the end of this season."
