Hawks wingman Karl Amon will be a test to play ahead of Hawthorn's Retro Round blockbuster game against Collingwood on Saturday.
It comes after the 27-year-old was ruled out of last Sunday's game with Richmond due to a knee issue.
High Performance Manager Peter Burge said Amon has since resumed running again.
"Karl didn't play last weekend, but was running on our Alter G treadmill, we've progressed to outside running today, straight lines on grass," Burge said.
"He feels much better but, we'll want to look at him Thursday and see where it's at and see what level we can get him to before we make a decision on the weekend."
Meanwhile, Changkuoth Jiath remains unavailable for selection as he recovers from a groin injury.
"He has improved clinically which is good, but we're still not at the stage where we are running outside yet," Burge said.
"With four weeks to go in the season we need to make some more improvements to get to that point, but we're being really positive with him and hopeful that he can play some footy before the end of the year."
First-year Hawk Henry Hustwaite is also a test for this week after spending the past fortnight on the sidelines due to an ankle injury.
"Henry has now missed two games, largely due to after hurting his ankle during our last training session before the previous game," Burge added.
"He's progressed really well, he did some skill work today and will fully train on Thursday."
