Hawthorn's James Sicily, Will Day and Jai Newcombe have all been nominated for the AFL Player Association's MVP award for 2023.
Sicily has produced a stellar season in the Hawks defence, averaging a league-high 9.9 marks in addition to 26.4 disposals per game.
After a break-out 2022 campaign, Newcombe has once again produced another impressive season this year.
The 22-year-old has averaged the fourth most disposals (26.4 per game), and second most tackles (4.3) and score involvements (6.4) of any of his teammates this year, while also providing further depth in attack, kicking 12 goals for the year.
After making the switch from the defence to the midfield, Day has produced a break-out season in 2023, having averaged an 26.1 disposals and 5.8 marks per game.
The MVP award recognises the best player of the league as voted by their peers, with the shortlist created through votes within each club.
Sicily has also been nominated for Captain of the Year, Blake Hardwick is up for Most Courageous Player, while Josh Weddle is up for Best First Year Player.
The recipients of the awards are set to be announced at the 2023 AFL Awards which will take place this Wednesday 30 August.
