Star forward Luke Breust has taken out Hawthorn's leading goalkicking title for the fifth time in his career.
Breust (47 goals) took the crown in a convincing fashion, registering 11 more goals than runner-up Mitch Lewis (36).
The 32-year-old, who was previously the club's leading goalkicker in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022, has also finished in 11th place across the competition for most goals kicked this season, trailing just behind Geelong's Tom Hawkins.
Breust has now become the eighth player in the club’s history to win the award five times or more.
Others to finish as Hawthorn's leading goalkicker on five or more occasions include Jason Dunstall (12 times), John Peck (8), Peter Hudson (6), Leigh Matthews (6), Lance Franklin (6), Bert Hyde (5) and Michael Moncrieff (5).
Breust's 47 goals is the most he has kicked in a season since 2018 when he finished with a career-high 54 and an All Australian selection.
His biggest haul of the year came in his side's Round 20 loss against St Kilda when he registered six majors, which was an equal career-best performance.
Meanwhile, it is the second year in a row that Lewis finished second on the Hawks goalkicking leaderboard with 36 majors to his name, another impressive feat considering he missed eight games this year due to injury.
Lewis averaged 2.4 goals per game – the eighth highest in the league for 2023.
