Emerging defender Laura Elliott is back in the team for Hawthorn's first-ever home game at Cazalys Stadium against Richmond on Friday night.
Elliott missed the Hawks' Round 7 win over Sydney due to illness but has recovered in time to face the Tigers - the same team she faced in her debut AFLW game last season.
Experienced defender Louise Stephenson makes way for the 18-year-old after replacing her as a late in on Saturday.
Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey was glad to have Elliott back in the side.
"Laura provides great structure and reliability in our backline," Bailey said.
"It was a shame seeing her miss the game on Saturday but we'll know she'll hit the ground running on Friday night.
"After a wonderful pre-season camp in the region, we can't wait to play in front of the Cairns community under Friday night lights and hope to see many Hawks at Cazalys Stadium as possible."
