Five Hawks are in line for a return to play in the coming weeks, with a mixture of players aiming to put their hand up for VFL and AFL selection.
High Performance Manager Peter Burge provided an update on Chad Wingard, Conor Nash, Ned Reeves, Changkuoth Jiath and Will Day ahead of Saturday's VFL Elimination Final and next Friday's AFL Elimination Final.
Chad Wingard - ankle (test)
"He had an incident last Saturday at training, just with his ankle. He's going to Box Hill training tonight and we'll reassess tonight at training and see how that looks for Thursday night. He's a test for the weekend but he would need to complete some training tonight and then again on Thursday."
Conor Nash - quad cork (test)
"He got a corky in the game (against North Melbourne) which inhibited his movement but it's not a significant corky and we'd expect him to be back fully training by the end of this week."
Ned Reeves - back (test)
"He'll train this week at Box Hill and we're planning for him to play this weekend in the VFL."
Changkuoth Jiath - calf (test)
"He's back to full training and fully trained this week and we're planning for him to play in the VFL this weekend."
Will Day - SC Joint (test)
"Will has started running and conditioning outside and he's feeling better. We'll be progressing his conditioning loads over the week and then reassess when we can start non-contact training, hopefully around the weekend. Beyond that, there's still a few things for us to assess and look at before we progress to full contact training."
