Our last game

Hawthorn (66) defeated Carlton (28) in Week 1, 2024.

Hawthorn piled on their highest ever score to claim the biggest win in their history, defeating the Blues by 38-points.

Irish duo Aileen Gilroy (16 disposals, two goals) and Aine McDonagh (12 disposals, two goals) were dangerous in attack all day, while recruit Eliza West (28 disposals, 10 tackles) proved why she is so respected by her teammates.

With another former Demon, Casey Sherriff having an impact, with two goals for the Hawks.

The weather conditions were tricky to say the least. Hawthorn's defensive structure was sound, maintaining representation behind the play when they were against the conditions, often outnumbering the Blues when the ball was sent in long.

What's on

Two exciting milestone games to be played this weekend, with Aileen Gilroy and Casey Sherriff set to hit their 50th game.

Gilroy has played 28 games for North Melbourne and 21 for the Hawks, while Sherriff has played 48 for the Melbourne Demons and one so far in the brown and gold.
