Our last game
Hawthorn (73) defeated Collingwood (26) in Week 2, 2024.
Hawthorn again recorded its biggest winning margin and highest score in its AFLW history, topping its Week 1 result.
The Hawks outplayed Collingwood to the tune of 47-points at Victoria Park.
After a scrappy start with neither team able to settle, 50-gamer Aileen Gilroy got the Hawks on the boar with a 50-metre bomb for the first goal of the game.
The Hawks continued to put the foot down in the third term, starting to turn the tide in the midfield battle and overwhelming the Magpies defence through a weight of numbers.
Lucy Wales dominated the hit outs, Mattea Breed’s strength was felt in the midfield while Jasmine Fleming’s pace was hard to match out of the centre.
