Hawthorn welcomed five talented youngsters to the brown and gold at the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft.
The Hawks began proceedings with their first pick coming at Pick 15, selecting Lavinia Cox.
Daisy Flockart was then selected with Pick 23, then Grace Baba at Pick 28, Elli Symonds at Pick 45 and Rebecca Clottey at Pick 50.
Cox has come in from the Bendigo Pioneers after being scouted through a school football game. She featured in 11 games in the Coates Talent League this season, averaging 17 disposals and five tackles. The talented teenager is a dual-sport athlete with a WNBL rookie contract with Bendigo, she has elite athleticism in the air and by foot, impressive agility and endurance.

Flockart is a versatile utility who can play across any line. Hailing from the Sandringham Dragons, she played 12 games in 2024 and averaged 16 disposals, seven tackles, four inside 50s and kicked three goals. Impressive elements of Flockart's game include her explosiveness and power around the ground, as well as her ability to work back defensively to take intercept marks.

Baba is an athletic defender from Eastern Ranges who collected 21 disposals in the qualifying final and was among her team’s best in their Grand Final loss this year. Baba also impressed at the Draft Combine earlier this year, ranking first in the running vertical jump (67cm) and third overall in the 2km time trial (7:46). She is said to be one of the most aggressive and competitive players from the Eastern Ranges 2024 crop.

Symonds is a ruck/forward standing at 178cm tall with impressive athleticism and strength around the contest. She comes in from the Dandenong Stingrays where she played 19 games across two seasons, averaging 18 disposals, 11 hit-outs, six tackles and kicked three goals in 2024. Symonds is best known for her athleticism, strength and speed, showing great power out of stoppage.

Clottey is an emerging forward from the Geelong Falcons where she played 12 games across the 2024 season. She averaged 11 disposals, seven tackles and booted five goals. Clottey also lined up for Vic Country in one game for 2024. She is said to be one of the best inside 50 tacklers and has a keen goal sense.
