Veteran forward Jack Gunston has been voted as the Superhero of the Week for his performance in Hawthorn’s Round 5 clash with Port Adelaide.
Gunston booted a game-high six straight goals from 15 disposals and managed a team-high eight score involvements.
It was Gunston who got the Hawks on the board early while his next came late in the second term as the Hawks' second goal of the game to stem the flow of the Power’s nine consecutive goals.
The 33-year-old kicked his third goal late in the third term, while he closed out the match with three more majors in the fourth quarter to aid in the Hawks' late surge.
His six-goal haul at Adelaide Oval was an equal career-high, taking his total tally to 491 goals from his 263 games.
The Hawks will take on Geelong in the traditional Easter Monday clash on Monday 21 April from 3.20pm at the MCG.
