Earlier this month Hawthorn hosted some very special visitors at its new home, the Kennedy Community Centre, as a collection of former greats, including Leigh Matthews, Michael Tuck, Dermott Brereton, Garry Young and Jordan Lewis toured the new facilities on Monday (March 31) followed by our current playing AFL playing group visiting Dingley on Friday (April 4).

The Kennedy Community Centre will be a home for the entire Hawthorn family, so it was very fitting to have the current playing list visit Dingley the same week as many of the club's former greats.

From a development perspective, construction has just ticked past 80% completion for the total project. Within the Harris High-Performance Centre, external glazing across the facade of the building is almost done, while within the aquatic zone, the tiling for the 25-metre pool is nearing completion and the framing for the dry sauna is now underway. Over at the Community Pavilion, rapid progress is happening to the ground floor changerooms, while Level 2 facade framing has been completed with window frames now starting.

Whilst ongoing consultation continues with local community groups ahead of relocation in the second half of this year, the club is now working through the next stage of the sale of Bunjil Bagora, Waverly Park with appointed agent Colliers, with more updates to come soon.
