Hawthorn VFLW will be looking to record its first win of the season against Collingwood this Saturday.

The Hawks lost their season opener last week against the NT Thunder by 22 points.

Coach Patrick Hill said his side needs to get back to basics after a performance he described as “un-Hawthorn-like” in Round 1.

Steph Carroll is set to play her 50th VFLW game on the weekend, as she makes her first appearance of the season.

Collingwood also lost last week to the Southern Saints, so this match will be an important one for both sides.

Collingwood will host Hawthorn at Victoria Park on Saturday at 2pm.

The Box Hill Hawks will face Richmond in a bumper clash at the Swinburne Centre on Sunday.

The Tigers are yet to drop a game in 2019 as they sit a game clear at the top of the VFL ladder.

The Hawks will be looking to make a return to the winners’ list after playing out a dramatic draw last week against Footscray at the MCG.

Following a five-goal performance last week, Jarryd Roughead will again make an appearance for Box Hill while Changkuoth Jiath and Damian Mascitti will look to continue their strong start to the year.
