Three Hawthorn players polled votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award for Round 2.
Brian Lake, Jordan Lewis and Jack Gunston were recognised by Alastair Clarkson and James Hird for their efforts against Essendon on Sunday afternoon.
Brian Lake was the highest vote getter for the Hawks with his efforts in defence earning him three votes as he grabbed 16 disposals, took seven marks and laid two tackles.
Jordan Lewis snared two votes for a performance that included 34 disposals (equal match-best), six marks and three tackles. Lewis currently sits equal 7th on the overall leaderboard with 10 votes.
Forward Jack Gunston earned one vote for his match-best 11 marks, 20 disposals and three goals.
Cale Hooker (9 votes) was judged best afield by the coaches with nine votes for an impressive defensive performance that included 23 disposals, 10 marks, five tackles and a match-winning goal in the dying stages of the game.
Michael Hurley (7 votes) and Zach Merrett (5 votes) rounded out the top three for the match.
