Next up is the ruckmen.

The lock: Ben McEvoy $628,000
If you’re not looking to break the bank with your ruckmen but still want quality and consistency from your big men then Big Boy is your man. McEvoy has had an outstanding past two seasons, averaging 91.4 in 2017 and 86.6 last year. Set to celebrate his 30th birthday midway through the 2019 campaign, the ruckman is showing little sign of slowing down and will likely be a popular selection for coaches around the country this year.
The smoky: Jon Ceglar $456,000
With the dual position status of ruck/forward in 2019, Jon Ceglar figures as a tantalising prospect for coaches looking for versatility this year. Returning from an ACL injury in 2018, Ceglar was somewhat delayed in producing strong scores but his last four games of the year gave an insight into what coaches might expect from the big man going forward. Ceglar averaged 82 points in his last four games, which, if he can keep up that level into the new season, renders him a must-have for coaches looking for an under-the-radar talent.
The rookie: Marc Pittonet $290,000
It takes a committed coach to look into past year’s state league form, but that commitment might prove a wise investment when it comes to Marc Pittonet. Pittonet has averaged 95 AFL Fantasy points across his last two seasons for Box Hill, with elite hit-out and tackling numbers the key source of his scoring capability. If you’re looking to fill that back-up ruck position on your field with a player who could come in and have an impact, Pittonet might be your man.
