Hawthorn VFLW premiership player Rebecca Beeson has been named in the 2019 Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All Australian 40-player squad. 

Beeson continued her strong form throughout the Hawks campaign into this year’s AFLW season as she led the way for GWS with a career-best season.

Moving into a permanent role as a midfielder, the 22-year-old ranked 12th in the competition for clearances and seventh for handballs while averaging 16.3 disposals per game.

Beeson’s best game of the season came in Round 4 in the Giants win over Collingwood, when she gathered a career-high 22 disposals in a best on ground performance.

The final 2019 Virgin Australia AFLW All Australian team will be announced at the W Awards on Tuesday, April 2 in Melbourne.
