Have you ever seen anyone more anti-Hawthorn than Kane Cornes?
— Nick Guglielmino (@95Guglielmino) October 14, 2018
First he says Hawthorn are failing in the trade period, now he wants the AFL to step in A week is a long time for ol’ Kane https://t.co/IroFLkLFUZ
@HawthornFC I would like to know why all fans are left in the dark on potentially trading Burton if it’s all Ports idea why haven’t Hawthorn come out and said we are not putting him up for trade the anxiety of it is killing us !!!!!!

I don’t even think we will lose Burton. Unless Hawthorn say we want to trade him, no way I believe the media. one donkey mentions Burton and all the sheep run with it.

Clarko is such a great coach he can make a B grade list perform like A graders. That doesn't mean the Hawks have always made great list management decisions. The only reason they should go through with this trade is if Burton indicated he wanted to return home to SA soon...

Hawks are the trade week premiers if they pull skully for pick 53
— cameron walker (@camwalker) October 14, 2018
Where has this idea that Hawthorn don't offer fair trades come from? We have a ten plus year history of being more than fair in a trade, GWS can flat out refuse pick 53. Scully is contracted.

I don’t want to question the way Hawthorn run their club cause their success speaks for itself but never seen such a collective backlash from not only their own fans but the football public at this Burton/Wingard trade. They’d be mad to do it surely

@traderadio Hawthorn are so selfish they make trade week all about them every single year. Can’t they just go and actually draft and develop players themselves

@AFL If Gold Coast get pick 3 as compenstaion for Tom Lynch trade to Richmond ... then I hope the AFL will compensate Hawthorn for giving them pick 19 for the Lance Franklin trade to Sydney in 2013.

Got to admire how every trade period Hawthorn don’t muck around. They want players, they get players.

I reckon Clarko said 4-5 years ago on a footy show, maybe ‘On The Couch’. If he could pick any player in the competition to play at Hawthorn it would be ..... Chad Wingard. No wonder a pretty good kid has been put on the trade table (Burton).
