The Hawks’ VFL men’s and women’s teams are preparing for their final home and away clash of the 2018 season – a home double header against the Cats. 

The action will kick off with the Hawthorn women at 11.30am, as they continue their hunt for a top two position.

Youngsters Claire Dyett and Nicky Cormack have been recalled to the side, while the Hawks will also be buoyed by the return of Vice Captain Steph Carroll. 

The Box Hill men will then continue the battle against the Cats at 2pm, with the door for a top four position still slightly ajar.

The Hawks will need to do away with Geelong comfortably, and bank on both Collingwood and Williamstown losing, if they are to regain fourth position and the double chance.

The VFL line up will be boosted by the inclusion of ruck duo Marc Pittonet and Jonathon Ceglar, with the former returning from a stint at VFL and the latter recovering from a corked calf.
