Hawthorn has made a late change to its side set to face the Giants, with Jack Gunston to be replaced by Conor Glass.
Gunston suffered a corked calf early in last week’s win over Gold Coast, but returned to play out the match and boot three important goals.
According to GM-Football Graham Wright, the star forward pulled up sore and was unable to prove his fitness in time for tonight’s clash.
“Obviously Jack is a really important player for us, so we wanted to give him every chance to recover from that corked calf.
“Unfortunately he is still experiencing some soreness so we’ve decided not to take the risk.
“Conor Glass comes in as his replacement on the back of some strong form for Box Hill.
“He always puts in 100 per cent effort, so we’re confident he’ll come in and play his role.”
The Hawks will face the Giants at Spotless Stadium at 7.25pm tonight, with both sides looking to break back inside the top eight.
