Conor Glass has been recognised for an impressive season, being named Hawthorn’s Best First Year Player in 2017.
After a run of impressive VFL form for Box Hill, the 19-year old Irishman was rewarded with a debut against Fremantle in Round 18.
He became the first Irishman to pull on a brown and gold jumper.
Glass maintained his place in the senior side for the remainder of the year, exciting fans with his fleet of foot and neat foot skills.
The running half-back averaged 12.7 disposals, 3.3 marks, 2.8 tackles and 2.5 one-percenters over his six senior appearances.
Over his 13 games for Box Hill, Glass averaged 15 disposals, four marks and three tackles.
With the departures of backline stalwarts Josh Gibson and Luke Hodge, expectations will be placed on players like Glass to take their game to the next level in 2018.
