To make sure you get your Hawthorn fix during bye week, we're counting down our top individual Hawk performances so far in 2017.
Despite Hawthorn posting just four wins at the half way point of the season, there have still been several individual highlights that have sparked hope and excitement amongst Hawks fans.
In at number three....
Jarryd Roughead
Round 7
15 possessions, 4 goals, 6 marks (3 contested), 4 tackles
After following their first win of the year against West Coast with an embarrassing loss to St Kilda the next week, the Hawks were desperate to get their season back on track in the Round 7 clash with Melbourne.
Hawks’ first-year captain Jarryd Roughead led the way for his club powerfully, putting an impressive performance together to get his side over the line by three points.
The skipper kicked four goals from his 15 possessions as well as pulling down six marks, three of which were contested.
But perhaps the best moment of Roughead’s night, and certainly the most important, was when the 193cm forward spoiled the Demons’ last-ditch attempt forward with 10 seconds left on the clock.
It was a fitting end to a crucial battle as the desperation of the Hawks skipper helped claim a much-needed victory for his side.
