Hawthorn Football Club is pleased to announce it has appointed Jason Burt to the position of General Manager – Football Operations.

Burt has been at Hawthorn for 10 years’, since December 2006, in the role of Player Development Manager before being promoted to Head of Player Services and Football Administration in 2014.

Hawthorn CEO Stuart Fox congratulated Burt on his appointment.

“Jason has done an outstanding job in the areas of player’s services and football administration for the Hawthorn Football Club,” Fox said.

“He has worked alongside our coaches, players and administration staff since 2006 and was a logical appointment given his knowledge, experience and performance to date.

“We look forward to Jason leading our Football department as the Club continues to strive for success,” Fox said.

Burt takes over from Chris Fagan, who has joined the Brisbane Lions Football Club as their senior coach.
