SUPERSTAR Sun Gary Ablett bounced back to his best form in round 14, and the Gold Coast captain heads the list of players selected in the AFL's team of the week, brought to you by Accor Hotels.
Ablett was brilliant against Hawthorn and although he couldn't help his side arrest its winless record against the premiers, the 32-year-old turned out one of his best performances in the past two seasons.
The skipper is joined in this week's team by teammate Tom Lynch, after the gun forward continued his fantastic season in the Suns' 26-point loss.
Lynch, St Kilda's Jade Gresham and Hawk James Sicily fly the flag for the competition's best young forwards, while Greater Western Sydney star Steve Johnson, and the Riewoldt cousins, Nick and Jack, are there to give the side some experience.
Elsewhere, prolific midfielders like Richmond's Dustin Martin, Crow Rory Sloane, Giant Dylan Shiel, St Kilda's Jack Steven, Hawk Sam Mitchell and Collingwood's Adam Treloar have also found a spot in the 22 yet again.
RORY LAIRD (Adelaide) – Maintained his brilliant form with another hard-running game against North Melbourne, and finished with 20 possessions at 80 per cent efficiency.
ALEX RANCE (Richmond) – The 2015 All Australian made life tough for the struggling Lions, combining his 13 possessions with six sacrificial acts.
GRANT BIRCHALL (Hawthorn) – The four-time premiership Hawk took 12 marks and had 28 possessions at almost 90 per cent efficiency to help his side overcome the persistent Suns.
ZAC WILLIAMS (Greater Western Sydney) – The defender was at his attacking best across half-back against the Blues with 24 possessions, and added seven inside 50s.
BEN REID (Collingwood) – With his hamstring troubles behind him Reid is reminding the competition how valuable he is to the Magpies, and took 12 marks against the Dockers.
SAM DOCHERTY (Carlton) – Despite some close attention from the Giants' forwards, Docherty managed to pick up 30 disposals and had seven rebound 50s.
JACK STEVEN (St Kilda) – Part of the Saints' exciting midfield division, the speedster helped his side to a massive upset win over Geelong with 25 touches and seven inside 50s.
GARY ABLETT (Gold Coast) – The champ was unstoppable against the Hawks and had 40 disposals, 25 of them contested, an amazing 15 clearances and kicked a goal.
RORY ATKINS (Adelaide) – The exciting youngster covered plenty of territory to gather 21 touches, and could have had a monster night against the Kangaroos, but kicked 1.3.
STEVE JOHNSON (Greater Western Sydney) – Another vintage performance from the evergreen veteran who booted four goals from his 22 touches, and provided his usual spark inside 50.
TOM LYNCH (Gold Coast) – Against an experienced Hawthorn backline, the young star took 10 marks, five of them contested, and booted three goals in a losing side.
NICK RIEWOLDT (St Kilda) – Inspired his side with 26 possessions and 10 marks against the Cats, and is showing no signs of slowing down as a 33-year-old.
JADE GRESHAM (St Kilda) – One of St Kilda's brightest prospects kicked a goal of the year nominee late in the tense final quarter, and had eight inside 50s for the game.
JACK RIEWOLDT (Richmond) – The athletic forward took nine marks inside 50, the same as the entire Lions side, and finished with four goals from his 21 touches.
JAMES SICILY (Hawthorn) – The round 13 Rising Star nominee showed off his contested marking ability against Gold Coast, and added three classy goals.
SHANE MUMFORD (Greater Western Sydney) – Took on Matthew Kreuzer and Andrew Phillips and handsomely won the battle, finishing with 35 hit-outs and five tackles in the Giants' big win.
DUSTIN MARTIN (Richmond) – Perhaps the competition's most in form onballer, Martin racked up another 35 disposals, 10 inside 50s and six clearances against the Lions.
RORY SLOANE (Adelaide) – Had a game-high 19 contested possessions and 30 overall, plus seven clearances, and laid an incredible 13 tackles against the Roos.
DYLAN SHIEL (Greater Western Sydney) – Blitzed the Blues with 34 possessions, a game-high 17 of them contested, and finished off his work with two goals for the winners.
SEB ROSS (St Kilda) – Another reason for Saints' fans to be buoyant about the future, Ross had 33 possessions and five clearances against the star-studded Cats midfield.
ADAM TRELOAR (Collingwood) – Did his best and fairest hopes no harm with another dominant game through the midfield, and had 33 touches and seven tackles against Fremantle.
SAM MITCHELL (Hawthorn) – The former skipper picked up 35 touches against the Suns at almost 83 per cent efficiency, had eight clearances and laid five tackles.
