GWS GIANTS midfielder Ryan Griffen was forced to leave the training track early on Wednesday with a lower back complaint, however GWS said that he suffered only a minor cork and will be fit to take on the Hawks this week.
Griffen has been in good touch for the Giants, collecting 29 disposals against the Saints last week as they took home a comfortable 47-point victory at Etihad Stadium.
The Giants are fresh from two big wins against Port Adelaide and St Kilda in the last fortnight.
Overall, the Giants’ list is reasonably healthy, and will have nearly all of their big name players available.
Aidan Corr (ankle), Caleb Marchbank (ankle), Jarrod Pickett (foot) and Paul Ahern (knee) are the only players on the Giants' injury list.
But there are a couple of players pushing their case for selection.
Rhys Palmer looms as one potential inclusion, while Jacob Hopper and Nick Haynes were among GWS’ best in the NEAFL last week, and are doing all that they can to push their names forward.
Among the Giants' quieter performers against the Saints were key forwards Rory Lobb and Jon Patton - who managed one goal between them - and midfielder Lachie Whitfield, who managed 11 disposals.
