Hawthorn Football Club has secured the services of Melbourne defender Sam Frost.
After two years with the Giants and five years with the Dees, the athletic backman officially joined the Hawks on Friday.
The Hawks received Frost, pick 42, pick 61 and a future fourth round pick, in exchange for a future second round pick and pick 50.

Frost enjoyed his best season in 2019, playing all 22 games in the Demons’ defence and finishing ninth in the clubs best and fairest.
GM Football Graham Wright said the 194cm defender is a great pick-up for the club.
“Sam is a fierce competitor and has excellent speed and agility which allows him to play on tall and small opponents,” said Wright.
“Sam will complement our defensive unit extremely well.
“We are excited to see what Sam can bring to the Hawks.”
Originally taken as a rookie by GWS Giants, Frost made his debut in 2012 and after three seasons was traded to Melbourne Football Club.
With 91 games under his belt and a breakout season in 2019, Frost is an exciting addition to the line-up at the Hawks.
