CYRIL Rioli is free to play in Saturday’s blockbuster against Collingwood after he was cleared of his match-day report by the Match Review Panel on Monday.

Rioli was reported by the controlling umpire after making high contact with Carlton’s Zach Tuohy and teammate Paul Puopolo in the third quarter of Friday night’s win.

But after reviewing the footage, speaking to the reporting umpire and based on a medical assessment provided by Cartlon Football Club, Rioli was cleared.

The MRP contended that the high contact was below the force required to constitute a reportable offence, so no further action was taken.

Rioli was one of Hawthorn's best in the 28-point win over the Blues on Friday night with three goals and 20 disposals.
