Round 1 is finally on the doorstep and there's just four more sleeps until the Hawks take on the Lions at Aurora Stadium.

The playing group hit the weights on Tuesday to make sure they get off to the best start possible and are in peak condition for the season opener.

Tuesday's weights session was focused more on upper body strength, so the players, in groups got to work.
