The AFL announced on Tuesday that Hawthorn's Round 23 match against West Coast will be played on Friday 31 August at the MCG.
The match is a Hawthorn home game and will commence at 7.50pm. It will also be televised LIVE on Channel 7 and Fox Footy.
Tickets for members and the general public go on sale on Monday 13 August at 2pm EST.
As part of the AFL's rolling fixture for the final round of the home-and-away season, scheduling of the final round's matches is determined depending on late-season ladder positions to provide teams with adequate preparation for finals.
