We are just a day away from finding out who will be crowned the 2020 Peter Crimmins Medallist.
In previous years, it feels as though we've had a good idea who was going to take home the honour ahead of the event, but there seems to be much more mystery surrounding who this year's winner will be.

Tom Mitchell

The side's leading disposal winner across the season, Mitchell didn't take long to rediscover his renowned ball-getting ways after spending the entirety of last year on the sidelines following a broken leg. With two Peter Crimmins Medals already adorning his busy trophy cabinet, could Mitch become just the ninth Hawk to have at least three club best and fairest awards to his name?
Jack Gunston

The club's lone nominee in this year's All Australian squad of 40, you feel this is Jack's best chance yet of having his name on the illustrious honour board. Leading the club's goal kicking tally with 31 goals to his name and finishing third in the Coleman Medal race, Gunston was superb this year as a forward in a team that ultimately won just five games.
Chad Wingard

Alongside Tom Mitchell as the only two Hawks to play every game this season, his durability in 2020 ought to be commended after managing just 14 of a possible 22 games in his first season as a Hawk in 2019. Expect Chad to burst out of the blocks in the opening month of voting after he went through Rounds 1 to 4 averaging 17.5 disposals and 2.3 goals.
Sam Frost

Hawks fans fell in love with Frosty instantly in 2020. Crossing from Melbourne in the off-season, the athletic defender proved an incredibly reliable stopper whilst also providing numerous highlights with his dashing runs filled with excitement and audacity. He's never going to head the stats list, but the 27-year-old's debut campaign in the brown and gold is sure to earn him considerable votes in the count on Wednesday night.
Ben McEvoy

Ben McEvoy perhaps hasn't got the credit he deserves for his efforts in 2020. Across his previous 12 seasons, Big Boy spent his time exclusively as a ruckman. But in 2020, Alastair Clarkson threw him the greatest challenge of his accomplished career, tasking him with learning the caper of standing at the key defensive post. But McEvoy was unperturbed, best afield in numerous games for his side.
James Sicily

We feel pretty confident in saying Sis will be leading the count up to the point he was tragically struck down by his knee injury in Round 12. The star defender didn't miss a game, or a beat, leading up to Round 12, sitting amongst the game's elite in intercept possessions, rebound 50s and marks. Whether he can hang on to that lead though is another question.
Will Day

We had the youngest winner since Leigh Matthews last year when James Worpel took out the award, but this young Hawk would be younger than both if he pulled off a win. Like Sis, the promising youngster missed six games of the season, creating a notable mountain to climb, but his form in the back half of the year was certainly comparable to all of his teammates.
