100 per cent of the time, it's worked the last 77 times. Poor attempt at an Anchorman joke, but you get the gist.
Anyway, would you believe us if we told you that, over the last 77 occasions in which they have scored 100 points or more, the Hawks have won every single one of those games?
Yes? No? Maybe?
Well, believe it! It's true!
The numbers that have shot Jaeger up the ranks
This remarkable record dates back to Round 19 2012 when, ironically, Hawthorn led at the final siren before Cat Tom Hawkins nailed a 55m match-winner to snatch victory for Geelong.
Amazingly, it is also true of the Hawks' previous 30 games of triple-digits prior to that infamous night.
Also of note is the breakdown of when such games have occurred, with an incredible 50 of these 77 matches coming from the three-peat era from 2013 to 2015.
The 100-point scores have somewhat slowed since, with only one such result in 2020 (potentially a result of reduced game time), and one more so far in the 2021 campaign.
Higher scoring has been a desired feature of this season to date, so here's hoping there's plenty more 100-plus efforts in the Hawks before the year is out - with four points as the welcome reward!
