Cam Mackenzie burst out of the blocks in his first season at the top level, making his debut in Round 1 of 2023, before going on to play 14 games. Despite being named as the sub on four occasions, the 19-year-old was trusted with the responsibility of running through the midfield, showing just why Hawthorn snapped him up with Pick 7 in the 2022 national draft. Given his elite skills and well-rounded game, Mackenzie will look to build upon his debut season as he looks to cement his spot in the Hawthorn side in 2024.
